Broken for Good: The Way Charity Works In The United States of America is a full length documentary film in its third year of production and will open in theaters in Spring 2020. Broken for Good was slated for a much earlier release but had to be extended because of the myriad of revelations the filmmakers discovered during their research. What was once a 2 year film shoot has turned into a 5 year passion project, in part, because of the overwhelming praise and response from the charitable leaders. BROKEN FOR GOOD is based, in part, on the research and writings of professor Kathleen Robinson & author Jimmy LaRose. Also featured  in this documentary are Melinda Gates of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Dan Pallotta of the Charity Defense Council, Juanita Wheeler of Full & Frank, Nat Ware of 180 Degree Consulting and Diana Ruano of the UN Refugee Agency.

Documentary film maker Honnie Korngold and Director Cory Carroll filmed 40 interviews for BROKEN FOR GOOD with charitable executives in Denver & Colorado Springs this past November. Honnie is the founder of CineVantage Productions and will bring her film crew March 26-27, 2019 to Charleston, SC to capture the experiences of leaders attending National Association of Nonprofit Organization & Executives’ 2019 Board of Governors’ Convention & Expo.

Broken for Good: Documentary Film Shoot at NANOE Charleston was written by Jimmy LaRose – Jimmy LaRose’s passion for “people who give” has inspired philanthropists around the world to change the way they invest in nonprofits. His belief that donors are uniquely positioned to give charities what they truly need – leadership rather than money – is the basis for his work with individuals, governments, corporations and foundations, in the U.S., Europe, Asia & Middle East. Jimmy, in his role as author, speaker, corporate CEO & nonprofit CEO champions all of civil society’s vital causes by facilitating acts of benevolence that bring healing to humanity and advance our common good. Now, in his twenty-seventh year of service, his message that money is more important than mission and donors are more important than people or causes has resonated with policy institute scholars, social activists, doctoral students, business leaders, think tanks, nonprofit and NGO executives who rely on him and his team of veterans to meaningfully grow their charitable enterprise.
