If the answer to some (or all) of the following questions is “yes,” I can tell you with confidence that your nonprofit’s staffing model is jeopardizing your ability to grow and to become sustainable:

1. Are you struggling to meet your fundraising goals?
2. Are documents hard to find because there is no organized record-keeping system?
3. Are corporate documents only sporadically updated and submitted, risking non-compliance?
4. Is your service/program delivery inconsistent?
5. Are tasks falling through the cracks because volunteers run out of time?
6. Are your volunteers, including leadership, experiencing burnout?
7. Do you question whether you have the right financial controls and insurance in place?

Today, I’m offering you complimentary access to my white paper, which explains why inadequate staffing is among the top reasons nearly 30% of U.S. nonprofits fail within 10 years. Then, I explain exactly how traditional staffing models are incomplete solutions and how an innovative paradigm for staffing can help your nonprofit beat the odds.

About the Author:

Vicki Burkhart HeadshotFor over 30 years, I have been working with nonprofit organizations, often as the Executive Director, to grow their organizations and advance their respective missions. I have had the opportunity to work with unbelievably dedicated and passionate volunteers, many of whom have dedicated a lifetime to causes they believe in.

Together we have worked to address challenges head-on, navigating these nonprofits to the next level.

I have been lucky to have worked for and with organizations that have helped to increase breast cancer screenings, rescue abandoned cats and kittens, provide scholarships for vulnerable kids, advance women entrepreneurs, promote river watershed restoration, and provide sustainability and climate education, to just name a few.

I have been fortunate that my selected profession has been so personally fulfilling. Never a job – it’s been more of a calling.

Throughout my career, I have found that most nonprofits struggle with many of the same obstacles:  lack of a plan – strategic or otherwise; a disengaged or inadequate board of directors; the inability to generate the resources needed to sustain the organization; and most importantly, the lack of investment in infrastructure – specifically administrative staff – to get the job done.

Now my priority is to give back to a profession that has been so good to me. Creating a nonprofit virtual assistant service that provides organizations with the trained and certified administrative support they deserve will be my legacy.

I remain committed to the growth of the nonprofit sector and hope that the contributions made by The More Than Giving Co. will impact its future.
