How to Read the Minds of Your Donors
November 1, 20185 Ways to Use Donor Data to Increase Retention
November 3, 2018Jason Bundy to Receive Strickland Philanthropist Medallion
After a thorough and significant review of several nominated donors and family foundations NANOE’s Nominations Committee as announced Molly & Jason Bundy as the 2019 recipients of the Jerry Strickland Best Practice Philanthropist Medallion. This commendation is not bestowed based on to whom a family gives, nor the number of gifts made, or even the generous amounts shared, but rather it is awarded because of the WAY a family gives when it invests in a charity.
In the tradition of the Jerry & Linda Strickland Family Foundation, Molly & Jason Bundy’s record of underwriting administrative infrastructures that foster enterprise growth is unparalleled among NANOE’s membership and is evidenced by the unique strategies they employ to build organizational capacity. To put it plainly, when the Bundys serve, a charity grows. When the Bundys give a charity grows.
Jason Bundy’s introduction to the charitable came early in his childhood through Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in 1970. Jason as a “Little” was given the gift of a Big Brother named Dan Coats (Current Director of National Intelligence), which dramatically changed his life for the better. His life turned around thanks to Dan’s counseling, mentoring, and friendship. And almost 50 years later, their friendship continues.
After serving over six years in the military and upon realizing how much he benefited from Big Brothers Big Sisters, Jason started actively volunteering by serving on the Board of BBBS of Charleston, followed by two terms as Board President. During his tenure with BBBS he personally invested his own charitable gifts and was active in community fundraising. He was also a champion of Arby’s Charity Golf Tour event for which BBBS was the recipient of the proceeds.
Upon completing his term with BBBS Jason joined the Board of Junior Achievement (JA) of Charleston and taught classes with young teens on how to own and operate a business. He has also served on the Board Board of Carolina Youth Development Center and has assisted Charleston’s Florence Crittenton Home, the Jenkins Orphanage, My Sister’s House, and several other nonprofits in South Carolina’s Low-Country.
Jason Bundy is a member of both Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the St. Andrews Rotary Club. In addition to serving as Board Member Jason is a Rotary Reader (reading with elementary school students, one-on-one). Molly Bundy served two terms as Board member of the East Cooper Meals on Wheels, and is a past Board member of East Cooper Community Outreach. They also support the Trident United Way and are both members of Seacoast Church.
Finally, Jason Bundy is the CEO of Integrated Merchant Alliance SE, Inc. (IMA SE) which has a rich history of uniquely serving nonprofits. IMA SE’s payment products have been designed to help charities control costs, remain competitive, eliminate administrative burdens, and expand their market share. The way they run their business has earned their business NANOE’s official title of Capacity Building Enterprise (CBE).
In a recent interview Jason was asked about National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives and shared, “When I found out about NANOE, I read with great interest their philosophy and processes and was relieved to see that someone(s) had figure out how to actually address the prevailing issues and attitudes that ensure nonprofits not just survive…but thrive. I would encourage anyone who truly cares about their nonprofit to at least fully learn what NANOE does and how it does it. It is a 21st Century approach (to an issue that has been treated the same since the 1950s) that is long past due. It’s real, it has been tried and tested and it works!”
Jason Bundy & Molly Bundy’s boardsmanship, philanthropy and service, combined with their commit to NANOE’s mission to “transform the charitable sector” truly makes them NANOE’s 2019 recipient of the Jerry Strickland Best Practice Philanthropist Medallion.
