San Antonio Nonprofits Convene to Raise Millions In Partnership With Texas Philanthropists

Major Gifts Ramp-Up San Antonio promises to unite a broad cross-section of the River City’s nonprofit executives, board members and volunteers for two powerful days of inspiration. DesignedMajor Gifts Ramp-Up San Antonio INSIDE CHARITY MGRU to introduce millionaire philanthropists to Texas charities, this 2-DAY CONFERENCE EVENT will equip participants with the skills and resources needed to grow their important missions.

Over 100 nonprofit leaders are expected to attend on July 23–24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the Beldon Library at the Barshop Jewish Community Center of San Antonio.

Participants will be introduced to groundbreaking resources that identify every millionaire household in their service area. Executives will learn the net worth, philanthropic interest, and giving potential of major donors in San Antonio. They will also learn ow to engage these prospects with confidence and clarity. By the end of these sessions, attendees will walk away with a detailed plan to find, connect with, and inspire local major donors.

Led by the National Development Institute, this highly interactive training model has already helped over 20,000 nonprofit executives in hundreds of cities across the U.S. Attendees learn how to overcome organizational barriers, adopt a confident fundraising mindset, and secure the kind of leadership gifts that unlock real, measurable growth.

“In our profession, we’ve discovered that many accomplished business and community leaders—fearless in most aspects of life—are still intimidated by the idea of asking for gifts,” said Jim Eskin, Founder of Eskin Fundraising Training and lead organizer of the event. “That fear comes from not understanding the process. By pulling back the curtain and demystifying fundraising, we replace fear with clarity and confidence.”

The event’s theme underscores a key reality of modern philanthropy: major gifts drive results. Though Americans contribute more than $557 billion annually to charitable causes, 90% of that giving comes from just 10% of donors.

“The overwhelming response to this conference highlights San Antonio’s big-hearted commitment to collective impact,” said Louis Fawcett, President of the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives (NANOE) and lead faculty member for the event. “It’s thrilling to witness so many leadership organizations coming together to learn how to identify, cultivate, and steward major donors who can elevate their missions to the next level.”

The agenda is rich with presentations and exercises focused on timely nonprofit challenges and opportunities. Sessions emphasize research-based strategies, best practices, and “learning-by-doing” activities designed to foster real confidence in fundraising execution.

“Whether your nonprofit serves healthcare, education, arts and culture, economic development, children, seniors, or any other community cause, you’ll leave with a powerful sense of possibility,” added Eskin. “This conference is a celebration of the truth that when nonprofits thrive, San Antonio thrives.”

Due to the extraordinary collaboration of partners, the conference quickly achieved its capacity goal. To explore securing one of the few remaining registration openings, contact: www.nonprofitconferences.org/major-gifts-ramp-up-san-antonio-tx/
