Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation Helps Low-Income Communities Across the Nation by Raising Over $230,000 with Human Impact Fundraiser. Reliant Group has matched the donation, bringing the total amount raised to $478,892

GLENDALE, AZ – The 2021 Human Impact Fundraiser hosted by Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow), a national nonprofit organization providing award-winning services for low-income housing tenants, raised $239,446 to further programing for immediate employment, career pathways, mental health resources, and technology-based education for school-aged youth. Valued partners and Rainbow donors joined together in support of the virtual fundraiser and Reliant Group Management, a real estate company with an investment focus of affordable and market-rate multifamily housing, provided a dollar-for-dollar match of $239,446, which resulted in a total amount raised of $478,892.

“Quality services and programs place low-income residents on the path to self-sufficiency. This donation will continue our efforts to uplift the lives of individuals, families, seniors, veterans, and the disabled living in low-income rental housing communities,” said Flynann Janisse, Executive Director of Rainbow.

The funding allowed for Rainbow to provide emergency food and water resources, COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, and supplies to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Rainbow is supplementing food programs to minimize food-insecure people who might be impacted by the nation’s food price increases which rose to 5.3% in the last year and 0.9% in the last month according to the consumer price index issued by the United States Department of Labor.

The donation will also expand Rainbow’s technology-based programming focused on education, employment, financial literacy, physical and mental health wellness initiatives, youth enrichment programming, and sustainable life skills to over 40,000 individuals and families. Rainbow’s onsite programs, including GED classes, mobile health clinics, and crime prevention, will also benefit from the contribution.

Rainbow supports 155 communities and 22,551 units across the United States. Because it provides quality resident services, the nonprofit organization is recognized as a Certified Organization for Resident Engagement & Services (CORES) as a third-party service provider. The certification is one of the requirements for property owners to qualify for Fannie Mae Healthy Housing Rewards – Enhanced Resident Services financing incentives.
