David Oaks, CEO - Jerusalem School Bethlehem Foundation

David Oaks, CNC – Jerusalem School Bethlehem Foundation: David Oaks, CEO of Jerusalem School Bethlehem Foundation (JSBF), has dedicated his life to educating Arab Children in the Nation of Israel for over twenty-years. He’s a capacity-builder who supplies funding to a variety of programs in the Middle-East with a special emphasis on growing programs at Jerusalem School of Bethlehem (JSB).

JSB, a internationally accredited and academically rigorous K-12 school, is staffed with American teachers who share a message of hope in a culture surrounded by conflict. Their mission is to raise up a generation of young leaders in the West Bank who impact the Arab World with a message of prosperity and hope.

Jerusalem School Bethlehem opened its doors to the youth of Palestine in 1997. Based out of a small house in Dheisheh Refugee Camp, JSB’s co-founders Miss Grace Abu Mohor and Mr. Ross Byars, welcomed 45 students in its first year. By the fall of 1998, the student population doubled to over 100 children and 20 years later serves 500+ young people annually. JSB has become a trusted part of the local community and is making an impact in the region so much so that they turn students away (not for lack of money) but rather for a lack of space. JSB needs financial support to expand their current campus and reach more children. But the vision doesn’t stop there. JSB’s educational model can be applied throughout the region as a sustainable way to change the future of the West Bank and transform lives across the region.
