Jimmy LaRose – Global Cause Entrepreneur
Our own Jimmy LaRose is one of the keynotes. He will talk about why the age of nonprofits is over. The nonprofit world has failed, by and large, to make a significant impact in solving the world’s most pressing issues. Why? We think of ourselves as not-for-profits who will forever remain under-resourced. Our mindset limits us. Rather than think of ourselves as nonprofits, we must think of ourselves as impact organizations out to solve the world’s biggest problems who deserve to be well funded and supplied. In fact, it is required.
Jimmy LaRose, is recognized around the world as charity’s great 21st Century Champion. Jimmy’s work as an entrepreneur, author, fundraiser, speaker, and co-founder of NANOE, has raised hundreds of millions of dollars around the world for people in need. His best-selling book RE-IMAGINING PHILANTHROPY has been named by BookAuthority as one of the 100 Best Philanthropy Books of All Time.
Jimmy will help us recognize our nonprofit mindset as a detriment to making a significant impact. He will teach us to perceive our nonprofits as an impact agencies who have a duty to become well resourced. And he will explore ways to implement the impact organization mindset into our fundraising.
You can make a substantial difference. Jimmy has proved it. We can all learn from him.
Linda Lysakowski – America’s Million Dollar Fundraiser
Linda Lyskowski, ACFRE is our other keynote speaker. She will talk about not letting your donors fall into a black hole. As nonprofit professionals, we often let donors fall into space, never to be seen again. According data from GivingUSA, the first-time donor retention rate has hovered around 24 percent for years. Why? Maybe we don’t take time to listen to their needs and interests. Maybe we don’t cultivate them enough—or steward them properly. Hear from Linda how to get your donors onto a trajectory to success instead of falling into a black hole in cyberspace.
In case you don’t know Linda, she is one of approximately 130 professionals worldwide to hold the Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive designation. She has raised more than $50 million and trained more than 40,000 development professionals. She has received the Association of Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Fundraiser of the Year award from the Eastern Pennsylvania, Las Vegas, and Sierra chapters; Lifetime Achievement Award from the Las Vegas chapter; and Barbara Marion Award for Outstanding Service. Linda has authored or co-authored more than thirty books.
Listen to Linda and you will gain insight into how to talk to donors about their needs, interests, and desires. You will learn how to cultivate donors. And you will see how to develop a robust stewardship program.
