Donna Kay Niklas, at left, is shown accepting the Champion for Christ Award at Thursday’s Jefferson City Hope Awards lunch at First Assembly of God Church. The awards were presented by Iva and Richard Presberry, founders of Hope for Caribbean Kids. It was noted that Niklas was one of the founders of Women on Wednesday, a group that has grown considerably larger since its inception several years ago.
